Sweat-A-Thon Community Challenge ...honoring the blood sweat & tears of our service members present & past
Murrieta, CA The VA Veterans Center of Temecula and Veterans Supplemental Support Network (VSSN) are planning the annual Sweat-a-Thon on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Copper Canyon Park (23790 Via Alisol, Murrieta CA 92562) from 10:00 am-3:00pm. Over 40 various categories of vendors from food, wellness and fitness centers, chiropractors, insurance companies, realtors, schools, banks, clothing, accessories and non-profits will be present. Not to mention several agility stations for individual or team participants to try out from Cross-fit Training, Boot Camp, Zumba, Power Walking, Bike Runs, Martial Arts, 3 point shoot outs and more. The Sweat-a-Thon encourages the community to accept the challenge to stay active while paying tribute to the men and women who have shed blood, sweat and tears to protect our freedom and liberties. As a special addition to team participation friendly challenges will be made between several community teams (winners are determined by the largest team) like; Camp Pendleton (marine units) vs. March Air Force (airmen units), Temecula Sheriff Department vs Murrieta Border Patrol, Q103.3 Classic Rock vs 94.5 KYMT Smooth Jazz, Temecula Old Town Rotary vs Murrieta Rotary, etc. In addition to the friendly challenges participants will enjoy several costume contest walks, and drawings worth over $1000 in prizes while a ''rockin'' DJ plays some fun tunes. So grab your coworkers, associates, friends and/or family because we are still in need of volunteers, teams or individual participants and vendors. We appreciate your support and hope that you can join us at this fun-filled event. Please feel free to let me know how you will participate at 951-821-VSSN or 760-412-9565 or dtate@vetsupportnet.org
