Mile High Homework Club & Code to Greatness

"It’s not just a name—it’s a destination."

Launching January 2026 – Free Tutoring for Local Youth

Program Overview

The COVID-19 pandemic has left many children performing below grade level in reading, writing, and mathematics. While families recognize the need for academic support, traditional tutoring services are often financially out of reach.

The Mile High Homework Club & Code to Greatness was established to address this gap by offering free tutoring in reading, writing, math, and coding to families who lack access to conventional resources. Beginning January 2026, sessions will be facilitated by qualified teachers, engineers, retired professionals, and dedicated community volunteers committed to student success.

Seeking Community Partnership: Donated Space for Saturday Workshops

To host these sessions, we are actively seeking donated community spaces—such as classrooms, meeting rooms, or multipurpose areas—available for up to three hours on Saturdays. If your organization, business, or facility can provide space, your partnership will be invaluable in supporting local youth.

Key Program Highlights:

  • Volunteer Tutors Needed: We welcome tutor applications from community members. All volunteers must complete a background check unless employed by an organization that conducts them.

  • Community Support: Donated space for Saturday workshops is essential to our mission.

  • Student Recognition: At the end of each semester, students who achieve Honor Roll status will be honored with a special certificate.

  • Varsity Jackets: Parents may opt to purchase a personalized jacket for their child (estimated cost: $30–$40).

  • Awards & Incentives: Donations of small rewards (gift cards, books, backpacks, school supplies, meal coupons) are encouraged to motivate and celebrate student achievements.

Donations for Student Awards:

To foster student growth and recognize accomplishments, we are seeking donations of youth-friendly incentives, including:

  • Store gift cards (Target, Walmart, Amazon)

  • Stickers, books, backpacks, and school supplies

  • Pencils, journals, and achievement certificates

  • Meal cards or coupons from local restaurants

  • Other items that promote learning and pride

Information for Parents:

  • Completely Free: There is no cost for families to participate.

  • Qualified Tutors: All tutors are vetted and dedicated to supporting academic and social development.

  • Safe, Supportive Environment: Sessions focus on building confidence, character, and achievement in a nurturing setting.

Together, we are committed to empowering every child with confidence, character, and academic success—at no cost to families.
