ChildSpree
ChildSpree The first Saturday of August, The Salvation Army and Mervyn's invite families to participate in ChildSpree. What is ChildSpree? An Adult chaperone escorts each participation child on a shopping spree through Mervyn's. Each Child may spend $125 on school clothes and supplies. Mervyn's contributes half the cost for the first 60 children and The Salvation Army fund the rest. Why ChildSpree? Here in Southwest Riverside County, many families cannot afford new clothes for their school-age children. These children don't want much. It might be a new winter coat, a pair of school shoes, or something more basic. How can I help? Contact The Salvation Army (951) 677-1324.
