Valley Blood Services ask blood donors to ''LIFT UP THEIR SLEEVES FOR LIFT TICKETS''

First 40 donors awarded a free lift ticket to Snow Summit or Bear Mountain The San Diego Blood Bank is teaming up with Big Bear Mountain Resorts for a special ''Lift Up Your Sleeves for Lift Tickets'' Blood Drive at our new Valley Blood Services donor center from Tuesday, February 13, through Saturday, February 17. ''We are so fortunate that Bear Mountain Resorts is stepping forward once again to help us encourage donors to make a difference in life,'' said Lynn Stedd, blood bank spokesperson. Blood donors are also encouraged to join the blood bank's new Donor Difference loyalty program, where members pledge to give blood one more time each year and are entitled to great new benefits, including the ability to track their total cholesterol, blood pressure and pulse. Members will also earn points for each donation that can be redeemed on the blood bank's new online store. Anyone who is at least 17 years old, in good health and weighs at least 110 pounds may be eligible to donate blood. A good meal is recommended prior to donation.
