Animal Friends of the Valleys (Animal Shelter) celebrates 10 years of service in the Valley
Animal Friends of the Valleys celebrates with community events
Wildomar- Animal Friends of the Valleys (AFV) is celebrating 10 years of amazing service at the main campus 33751 Mission Trail Rd Wildomar.
All are invited for a special ceremony and shelter tour on our Facebook live feed Sunday October 18, 2020 12:00pm.

AFV, a state-of-the-art non-profit animal shelter was built to care for lost or homeless animals in the cities of Temecula, Murrieta, Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, Menifee and surrounding rural county areas.  On October 4, 2010 AFV opened the shelter doors and that year attended to over 15,486 animals.  Last year our numbers dropped to 9,806 dogs and cats.  Our mission of helping to end pet overpopulation is working in the cities we serve as seen by the reduction of those animals entering the shelter.

The shelter is 32,000 sq. ft. and offers temperature-controlled rooms for the animals.  It is our mission to care for all animals’ dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, tortoises, and various wildlife. AFV also has a low-cost spay/neuter clinic that offers low cost vaccinations located at 29001 Bastron Ave. Lake Elsinore.  The clinic has two remarkable veterinarians on staff and is opened 7 days a week from 8am-4pm. By appointment only.
AFV has an excellent and dedicated Animal Control division staffed by Chief Mo Middleton. These officers work tirelessly in all cities. All staff at AFV work with these core values; employee excellence, outstanding community service, building strong networks, partnerships and alliances, educational advocacy and fiscal responsibility.  Animal Friends of the Valleys is dedicated to promoting humane care of animals through education and proactive animal service programs such as our Foster programs. We are here for the animals, as reflected by Beth Soltysiak, Director of Development.   Our mission is to find all adoptable pets a loving and forever home.

COVID 19 has put a strain on us all.   AFV has been opened throughout this Pandemic as we are deemed an essential business by the Governor.  All spring and summer fundraising events were cancelled due to social distancing. We need to continue to reach out to the communities we serve.  These animals need our help.  With this in mind we are continuing with two signature AFV events Spooktacular, pet costume contest Saturday Oct. 31 at the shelter 10am-1pm.and Wines for Canines and Kitties SIT-STAY-SIP virtual event Thursday November 5, 6pm.  Visit for additional information on all events.
These community events will help AFV raise funding for COVID relief.  Our mission continues even through Pandemics and community emergencies.  We need to take care of the animals that are left alone.
Please help AFV during these unpresented times.

Animal Friends of the Valleys is dedicated to promoting humane care of animals through education and a pro active rescue, health and emergency service programs.  We are committed to preventing the suffering of animals and to help end pet overpopulation in the six southern California communities we serve.  Our vision is to be recognized as a leading shelter in the nation by providing a safe haven for animals and full-service animal care facility that offers quality and affordable care.
