EVMWD TO BEGIN CONSTRUCTION ON DIAMOND REGIONAL SEWER LIFT STATION AND DUAL FORCEMAINS PROJECT
PROJECT WILL IMPROVE SEWER INFRASTRUCTURE AND MEET FUTURE GROWTH NEEDS

Lake Elsinore, CA – The Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) will begin construction later this month on the Diamond Regional Sewer Lift Station and Dual Forcemains Project, located near Diamond Stadium at Malaga Road and Elm Street. The two-year project will build a new sewer lift station designed to accommodate up to 6.6 million gallons of flow per day. Additionally, approximately 3,400 linear feet of new, parallel sewer pipelines (forcemains) will be installed in Elm Street. The project will provide the district with the ability to meet future growth needs and ultimately downsize or eliminate four existing lift stations: the Back Basin Groundwater Treatment Plant Lift Station, Summerly Interim Lift Station, B-1 Lift Station, and B-2 Lift Station.

Construction hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

The project will increase sewer capacity, improve operational efficiency, and support future growth. Residents can learn more when EVMWD project managers present details at the Lake Elsinore City Council meeting on Tuesday, September 24, at 7 p.m. at the Cultural Center, 183 N. Main Street, Lake Elsinore. Additionally, nearby businesses and residents will receive construction notifications, and a construction hotline is available at 800-284-4808 for any questions.

“EVMWD is excited to break ground on this critical $60 million capital improvement project,” said Ganesh Krishnamurthy, EVMWD assistant general manager-engineering and operations. “We appreciate the community’s patience as we build the infrastructure to meet the needs of our growing region.”
