MURRIETA, WILDOMAR, AND MORE RESTAURANT MONTH TO CELEBRATE LOCAL RESTAURANTS AND ENCOURAGE NEW VISITORS
Restaurant Month is happening March 1-31 and will have foodies celebrating all month long
Murrieta, Calif. (FEB. 28, 2023) — From Wednesday, March 1 to Friday, March 31, Explore Murrieta, the City of Murrieta, City of Wildomar, and the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce are partnering to bring back Restaurant Month 2023. Instead of one week of deliciousness, this partnership is proud to celebrate its restaurants all month long. With various prizes at different levels being given away at the end of the month, this is the perfect time to explore new dining spots and support your all-time staples and feel the reward of supporting such an important industry! We encourage diners to discover new restaurants & revisit favorites.
“Working collaboratively with our destination marketing agency, Explore Murrieta, and the cities or Murrieta and Wildomar to expand restaurant week to a month is so vital,” says Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber President/CEO, Patrick Ellis, “Restaurants, residents, and visitors all benefit by this concerted effort.” Murrieta, Wildomar, and More Restaurant Month is a celebration of the diverse and delicious restaurants in the area. Now more than ever, it’s important to support local restaurants who have worked hard to bring their best to our community.
Nothing brings a sense of camaraderie and community like a meal, so we want to encourage everyone throughout the month of March to dine at their favorite local restaurants and discover amazing new ones. “We are very proud of the many mom-and-pop eateries in Wildomar, as well as our national chains; many of which are locally owned,” said Wildomar Mayor Joseph Morabito. “I personally look forward to participating in Restaurant Month several times, and highly encourage you to, as well. Remember, eating is fun, and eating local is even more fun."
Restaurants are a crucial part of the city’s ecosystem, 7% of all businesses in Riverside County are in the Food Service Industry and accounts for 10% of the labor force1. “Murrieta is very proud of not only the variety of dining options available in our city, but also that so many of our restaurants are unique and locally owned. The City of Murrieta is excited to partner with the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce for Restaurant Month,” shared Murrieta Mayor Lisa DeForest. “It’s a great way to support our local businesses and encourages residents and visitors alike to try a new Murrieta spot. You may even find your new favorite date night location or place to grab lunch with the family. I’m looking forward to trying many of the participating restaurants!”
Diners will be able to check-in at each restaurant using the Murrieta, Wildomar and More Restaurant Month pass and unique pin-code obtained at each participating restaurant. Diners can sign up for the free pass here https://go.exploremurrieta.com. Once signed up, a link is then sent to their mobile phone, which opens the passport and directs the user to add the button icon to their home screen, where they can access it any time. There is never anything to download and no bulky apps take up space on a user’s phone. The prizes consist of individual restaurant gift cards valued at approximately $25 and a grand prize collection of gift cards valued at over $200. Anyone who checks in to at least ten of the designated locations will be eligible to win the grand prize. Winners will be contacted by the Chamber and announced on Monday, April 3rd, 2023.
