Murrieta/Wildomar, CA – November 17, 2023 – The Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Explore Murrieta, City of Murrieta, and City of Wildomar is excited to announce the launch of its "Shop Small This Season" campaign, encouraging residents and visitors to support local businesses during the holiday season and beyond. This initiative aims to boost the local economy, create a stronger sense of community, and celebrate the unique charm of Southwest Riverside County. By shopping locally, you are investing in the success and vibrancy of our community, creating jobs, and fostering economic growth.

Patrick Ellis, President/CEO of the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce, stated, "Small businesses are the heart and soul of our community. By supporting local shops and services, we can ensure Southwest Riverside County remains vibrant and resilient. We encourage everyone to make a conscious effort to 'Shop Small This Season' and all year round."

As we approach the holiday season, the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce recognizes the importance of supporting small businesses that are the backbone of our local community. By shopping locally, residents can make a meaningful impact on the businesses and entrepreneurs who make our cities thrive.

The "Shop Small This Season" campaign will kick off with a series of exciting events and initiatives, including:

Shop Small This Season Interactive Map: The Chamber will have an interactive virtual map, featuring a variety of local businesses, making it easier for residents to discover great gift options, services, dining experiences, and special community events throughout the holiday season. 

Small Business Saturday: On November 25th, join our local community for Small Business Saturday, a national event dedicated to supporting small businesses. Local retailers, restaurants, and services will be offering special promotions and deals, giving you the perfect opportunity to discover unique gifts for your loved ones. Specials can be found on the interactive map!

Shop Small, Win Big Selfie Contest: The Chamber and our partners are encouraging residents to share their shopping small experiences by posting selfie photos at their favorite local businesses, using the hashtag #ShopSmallSouthwest and tagging the Chamber on social media. Each selfie posted is an entry to win prizes like a 55” TV, Local Business Gift Cards and more! Details can be found on the Chamber’s website.
