Chamber Voices Support for High-Quality Math Instruction

We proudly released a public statement supporting the California State Board of Education’s recent vote to advance a vetted list of high-quality math instructional materials for schools across the state. This action represents a major step forward in preparing California’s students for the demands of a rapidly changing workforce—helping to ensure that every young person has the skills needed to succeed in high-growth fields like healthcare, construction, and advanced technology.

“Our business community depends on a strong pipeline of skilled, motivated students ready to step into the jobs of tomorrow,” said Patrick Ellis, President/CEO of the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce. “By supporting stronger math instruction, we’re investing not just in students, but in the long-term success of our regional economy.”

The Chamber applauds the State Board’s leadership and encourages local school districts to adopt materials from the state-vetted list that best meet their community’s needs, ensuring that students across Southwest Riverside County are equipped for success in both college and career.
