Before the Transition, Inc., established in 2009, is a community‑driven nonprofit dedicated to uplifting individuals of all ages through compassion‑centered programs, mentoring/fashion shows, job preparation/job fairs, awareness initiatives, outreach services, and received numerous awards for efforts to the community. We proudly support children, teens, seniors, veterans, foster youth, justice‑involved individuals, single moms and dads working to rebuild stability for their families.

Over the years, we have donated more than 6,000 items of clothing and partnered with schools, shelters, veteran programs, law enforcement, and community agencies to meet critical needs.

Today, our work will continue through our statewide Bear Hugs of Love 

Teddy Bear platform, with a mission to go nationwide one day— delivering new teddy bears and essential resources to individuals experiencing life transitions. On Valentine’s Day and throughout the year, we remind every person that they are seen, valued, and loved

Before the Transition, Inc. (BTT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children, women, and men through mentoring, awareness, educational workshops, and essential support services. Before COVID, we provided new and gently used clothing to individuals and families with limited financial resources, helping them prepare for school, work, and everyday life with dignity and confidence.

BTT’s mission is to uplift communities by offering guidance, life‑skills mentoring, and practical resources that support stability, growth, and successful transitions at every stage of life.
